Hi. Welcome to my first post on our blog ;-) In case you didn't know, Eri and I are off travelling in January for 6 months.
This is where we are planning to go:
India, Nepal, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand (possibly Malaysia)
We have an idea of places and things we want to see en route but other than that, its going to be a free itinerary. We only plan to do 3 flights. One out to India, one from Nepal or India to Laos and then one from wherever we end up to bring us back home. We have both been saving for a while although the serious saving began a few months ago. We have already bought most of our equipment to take with us (we think) and have raided Walthamstow library for all of the decent travel books for research (although these are now gathering dust on top of the wardrobe..I just can't bear to take them back lol).
As October is almost upon us we really need to get our travel vaccinations planned (ouch), sort out the visa's for India (straightforward I think) and Thailand (complicated I think), and then get a flight booked to India (cochi, south India) and a few days accommodation to start off with.
Hopefully this trip is going to be everything I imagine it will be and more. Its going to be so crazy just leaving everything behind and just going with two rucksacks that will contain everything that we both need for 6 months. Although I have read and seen a lot of pictures of where we are heading for, im sure that that will be nothing compared to seeing and experiencing the real thing thing. Here's some thoughts that I have buzzing around in my head: Buddha's, cows, lovely food, dirt, sun, goats, crowds, peace and tranquility, getting my stuff stolen, making new friends, breathtaking scenery, cold water, disgusting toilets???, crowded buses and trains, beautiful sunsets, how am I gonna get my hair cut how I like??, the Taj Mahal, getting ripped off or scammed, taking a million pictures, memories that will never leave, getting sick, no work :-) for 6 months :-), getting a great tan, eating too much - getting lazy - getting fat, experiencing all of this with my gorgeous girlfriend...........
Well I think that will do for now. I will try to write on here as often as possible, or as often as I can be bothered. I will deffo try and put some pictures on here to show what I am up too. And your also in luck because this will be a bilingual blog. You will be able to brush up on your Hungarian or your English ;-)
Ok..Finished now..Here's a picture to be starting with..Bye
Lee

Oh my god! How amazing! I am extremely jealous but extremely happy for you both! What is it with my family going off on trips and me having to be stuck in boring england!! First mum and dad and now you!
Right, we have to get together soon then. I'll email, text or facebook you with nights we can do for a drink and then get cracking sorting a meal or something with mum and dad.
God, i am soooooo jealous of you! I have quite a few travel bits and bobs if you need anything.
See you soon.
