Off to South Africa

So we have just over one week before we head off to South Africa for 2 weeks. We decided to continue with the blog again for those of you that are interested. It might not be a 'live' blog this time as we are only away for 2 weeks and I'm not sure exactly how much PC time we are going to get. But we we be writing a journal and taking plenty of photographs that will be transferrred to the blog upon our return. So in effect you will probably be seeing each day, not as it happens but 2 weeks later. My advice to you is that if you see me in the UK, ignore me for 2 weeks and pretend that I am still away lol...

So we are flying to Cape town via Dubai next Saturday. Once again our flight to Dubai is on the massive Emirates A380. We then connect in Dubai with our next flight to CapeTown which I think is about 9hrs 50 mins flying time. We land in Cape Town about 11 something local time.

We will have a few days in Cape Town and then we take a hire car to drive 800km along the coast and Garden route to Addo elephant park. They actually have more than just elephants here and we will spend 3 nights here. So hopefully there will be plenty of great shots using my new 300mm zoom lens.

After that we don't really have a fixed plan. We do intend to stop off in some places along the route back to Cape Town and will deffo be visiting 'boulders beach' to swim with the penguin colony, going to the top of table mountain, visiting some vineyards and going whale watching. Whale watching is something that Erika is very much looking forward too. Me, I'm looking forward to all of it. It will just be great to be away again! Shame this time it is only for 2 weeks and not 7 months :-(

I am not putting any preview photo's on here as Eri has alreadt posted some and I'm sure that I will have plenty to display from the time that we are there.
