Day 19. Internet cafe in Aurangabad

So you now join me in an Internet cafe where we are counting down the hours til our next journey begins. We had to check out of our hotel at 07:30 this morning, but our coach doesn't leave until 16:30. As we have our rucksacks with us until then we are limited in what we can do. So here we are spending a couple of ours here! Our next journey see's us heading into Rajasthan; a 15 hour coach ride to Ahmedabad so that we can then catch the 23:00 train service to Udiapur.

Aurangabad has been good, the restaurants we have been using on either side of the hotel have been really good and we have both discovered that we like having "Dosa" for breakfast and I have never drunk so much "Masala chai". One thing that is bugging us a little is the constant attention we seem to be getting. Wherever we go we seem to be stared at! We are stared at by people on foot, whilst we are eating and by people from vehicles as we are walking. I swear that one day someone is going to crash their bike because they are to busy staring back at us instead of looking at the road ahead lol... We are beginning to understand how celebrities must feel with the constant attention and photographs. Now don't get me wrong, I accept that it may seem a little strange to see us walking around what seems to be a place that not too may tourists come to. And we don't mind saying hello to children, or women, or families and then having a photo with them, but what is too much is older men/teenagers wanting there picture taken all the time. Some ask if a photo is ok; others just sneakily aim there mobile phone or camera in our direction or gradually move nearer to us to get a photo of them next to us. We have now become wise to this and Eri usually hides behind me and I scowl lol. We are thinking of hiring one of those large security guards to ensure of secrecy lol. The fort at Dalautabad was really good yesterday. It involved a long walk through the layers of walls and a climb up to the top of the hill. Part of this climb involved going through some caves and up a large spiral staircase. All of this was done in complete darkness. On the ceiling all the time were hundreds of bats hanging upside down and occasionally flying around. The views at the end of the climb were quite something.
We were going to catch the local bus there, but in the end jumped into a shared taxi। Now when I say "shared" , I mean shared by not 4 or 5 people, but shared by 17 PEOPLE
lol...How the hell 17 got in the thing I will never know. We must of left with about 10 people on board but they kept stopping and picking up more. It was good fun though and we came back the same way.
